21. Episode – Migration Matters

People have seen images of police on horses on the US side of the Mexico-US border, but few have an idea of what it is like at Mexico’s southern borden, where most of the detentions take place, and where people are stuck waiting for months. The economic and psychological effects can be catastrophic for the tens of thousands of refugees and migrants.

She has been a journalist for two decades. During the last 13 years she has worked as a journalist and editor from Venezuela and Ecuador, and now from Mexico. She is the author of a literary fiction novel, The Butterfly Prison, and a children’s book, The Beauty Rules of Flowertown.
